I'm following a different training schedule. What do I do if my mileage is different from the routes posted?

Example 1:
If you are running 10 miles. Simply, run to the 5 mile mark, turn around, and trot on home. I DO NOT have anything placed at each mile marker. You'll just need to remember the street name (Miller Road) for your turn around point. In the future, I hope to have mile markers placed along the route. However, I don't at this time.

Example 2:
You can also run with the group the entire time. On the way back stop at your mile marker and get in the vehicle with Coach Momma C (our roaming water attendant). She can drive you back to your vehicle or you can help pass out water! If you're running 15 miles. Run the 8.5 miles out. Run the additional 6.5 miles back by stopping at (Kent Road) and get in vehicle with Coach Momma C.

Example 3:
Run the mileage out, run the mileage back until your stop point. Walk the remaining miles as a stretch and cool down.

Saturday's 17 Mile Route

Description
I've picked this route because we have NEW RUNNERS (woo hoo) to the Trinity Trotters. So, this route is a straight shot with no turns. This is easier for people unfamiliar with the area!

This 17 mile run is an 8.5 mile out-and-back. You will go down Market Street for approximately 1.5 miles. You'll turn left on Lake O Pines. This is a beautiful road featuring one of Hartville's largest homes on the left before Kent Road. Enjoy the scenery and horses. Continue straight and Lake O Pines will cross over Kent Road. Keep going straight and Lake O Pines will turn into Nimishillen. You will be on this road for a VERY LONG TIME! Nimishillen will cross over Middlebranch. Keep going for miles and miles! You are going to take a beautiful jaunt through farm country. You will have some hills, but they are minimal. You're going to turn left on Ravenna Road and keep on trotting. You are going to see a blue sign, which indicates Maize Valley Farm is coming soon. You will find an orange construction cone with a 26.2 sticker on it...This means TURN AROUND and BRING IT ON HOME!!!

-Continue straight crossing over Kent Road (2 miles)
-Lake O Pines become Nimishillen
-You are going to go straight forever. If the road curves...you curve!
-East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren (3 miles)
-Wolf Road (4 miles)
-Miller Road (5 miles)
-Immell Road (5.5 miles)
-Byers Road (6 miles)
-Ravenna Road (7 miles)

Turn LEFT on Ravenna Road
-Center Road (8 miles)
-Blue Maize Valley directional sign (8.5 miles)
-LOOK for ORANGE 26.2 cone!!!
-Turn around and take it on home!
*Make sure to turn LEFT on Nimishillen on the way back!!!*

Saturday's 7 Mile Route

- When you see two large red barns on your right....you are getting close!

Veteran Trotters-Route Update

The Veteran Trotters are running 15 miles on Saturday

Game Plan
We will all run the 5 mile out-and-back route together at our training pace. You'll then run the second leg of your run for 10 miles. The 10 mile route will start from my house and be another out-and-back.

I'll post the 10 mile route later this evening! You'll conquer your 15 miles, but instead of a 7.5 mile out-and-back. You'll have a 2.5 mile out-and-back and a 5 out-and-back...totalling 15 miles.

A nice 5 mile out and back. You'll take a brief jaunt down Market Street. You'll get to enjoy some farm country on Smith Kramer. Make sure to say "hello" to your co-workers and friends at Altercare of Hartville. Continue past Hartville Mennonite church....you might want to say a little pray right before that little hill. You'll have a beautiful run down Geib Road. Geib will cross Woodland, which is the 2.5 turn around point. You'll see the turn around cone and bring it on home!

*It looks like a dirt/gravel road
*You won't see a pavilion or anything...but you are in the right spot
*Follow the road and make a sharp RIGHT into the Pine Lane Trailhead parking lot
*If you get to Winking Lizard or Lock 29...You've gone TOO FAR. Turn it around!
