Every season Turn, Turn, Turn Route for Saturday, June 5th

Logistics
Alright, things are going to be a little different this week.  We want EVERYONE to attend the Trinity Trotter Shirt Design Breakfast. 

Since we are having the breakfast this week we'll need to make some time modifications so we'll finish around the same time for the party!  This will be the ONLY time we divide the groups!!  Anybody running/walking 5-13 miles will be in the 6:30 a.m. group.  Any NEWBIE/runner/walker doing less that 5 miles will be in the 7:30 a.m. group.  The party will start at the Magnus House (1018 Royce Street NW, Uniontown, OH) between 8:15-8:30 a.m.  Basically, once you are done running just come on over to the Magnus House.  Don't forget TO BRING A BREAKFAST ITEM!!!

Details
We are going to merge the newbie Trotters and distance Trotters this week.  We want you to meet and mingle with your fellow and future running/walking buddies.  Hope Magnus will lead the newbie group this week.  The newbie Trotters will run by minutes and the distance Trotters will run by miles.  If you are a distance Trotter....feel free to run the entire 10 mile route or just a portion.  You are still in "recovery" mode from the Cleveland Marathon.  We will start bumping up those miles very soon in preperation for the Akron and/or Columbus half or full marathons.  If you area a newbie Trotter and can already run 3 miles, Hope Magnus will give you details on running with the distance group for your mileage this week.

We are running and walking the sidewalks of Hartville.  Make sure you stay on the sidewalks.  When the sidewalk ends ALWAYS run facing the traffic.  Do NOT run with the cars at your back.

DATE & LOCATION CHANGE: Friends and Family Party on SUNDAY, May 23rd

Put on those medals....It is time to PARTY!!!!
We greatly apologize for the inconvenience, but the church got double-booked. Due to an overwhelming response, church being booked, weather conditions prohibiting outdoor setup, and space limitations at the Magnus house the party will NOT be held on Saturday.

The party WILL be on SUNDAY, MAY 23 @ 1:00 p.m,

We were getting together anyways for a party after the church service. NOW, lets make it a HUGE party with your friends and family. We apologize for the inconvenience and last minute changes, but we were trying fervently to make this celebration fantastic and not reschedule for another weekend. Even if you cannot attend the church service at 10:45 a.m.......Get your butts to this party!!!

Same deal-Bring a side dish appropriate for a cookout. Cake provided. The kids will have a place to play outside. We will have wonderful food, time with friends, fun, and the slideshow....ALL HAPPENING ON SUNDAY, May 23rd!!!!! See you and your family soon!

Saturday, May 22-Trotters In Training Group and Recovery Run

Group 1: Newbie Trotters
This is for anyone unable to comfortably run 3 miles. We look forward to having all the new Trinity Trotters join us this Saturday, May 22nd and Saturday, May 29th for an information session and short walk-run. We will gradually help you reach your goal of completing a 5K, 10K, half marathon, or full marathon. We are friendly, supportive, and we promise you'll laugh! If you cannot run one step...that is fine!!! We can help!!! Just come!

The following week (May 29th) you'll be provided with a new training schedule, which will get you ready for a fall half or full marathon. The distance on May 29th will be 10 miles. Any person is welcome even if you don't want to train for a specific race!

6. Eat

7. Return to room and RELAX!!!

Restaurant Details (IMPORTANT) 
We must arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. to ensure our reservation for the party room.  We must leave the facility no later than 7:15 p.m. because another group is coming.  The restaurant will NOT do individual checks.  They will divide our checks into THREE different checks.  We will determine the three groups PRIOR to arriving at the restaurant.  PLEASE consider bringing CASH or a CHECKBOOK to pay back the person that puts your meal on their credit card! 


Hotel Details
All reservations are on-hold with Hope Magnus' credit card.  Each of you will check-in the hotel with YOUR personal credit card.  Simply tell them you are part of the Magnus block of rooms.  I'll have confirmation numbers for each of you on Saturday morning to make check-in easier!!! Room is $132 not including taxes.

Mental Mind Game 8 Miler (Flat and Boring....Zzzzz) Route for Saturday, May 8th

Route Description
Y'all asked for flat.  Here is the best attempt we can get in Ohio.  This was the route I used EVERY SINGLE WEEK AND EVERY SINGLE DAY when training for my first marathon.  I have grown to hate every inch of this road.  However, I'm taking one for the team and I'm taking a run down memory lane on Saturday.  This route is pretty flat.  You will have a hill at mile 2, 4, and 6.  The rest is downhill or flat.  So, suck it up and enjoy your last "LONG" run before the Cleveland Marathon. 

Route
Turn RIGHT out of the Magnus driveway on to Market Street

  • Sunview Circle (1 Mile)

  • State and Market intersection (2 Miles)
Turn LEFT on State Street

  • State and Kent intersection (2.7 Miles)

  • Continue straight on State Street

  • Crappy red barn on right (3 Miles)
State Street and Middlebranch (4 Miles)

  • Turn around at the cone for exact mileage needed.

  • Run back and let's CELEBRATE!!! 
EAT BREAKFAST, MAKE POSTERS, and INTERVIEW!!!! 
Feel free to bring the kids to make posters for race day!!!
