Cleveland Marathon Training Best Moment-My best running moment has been watching our group get stronger and stronger. When we started y'all couldn't even run 5 minutes. Now, the group breezes through 5 miles like it's nothing. So, I guess I'm proud of their hard work.

My personal running moment-Realizing training is a lot easier the second time around.

What has made you the most proud?

I was most proud when I got the email that Melissa Hooper signed up for the FULL marathon. She was so uncertain at first. Once she signed up Tara signed up for the full. When we started this group I just thought we'd be a group of people running together. I NEVER imagined we'd be a group of people training for a MARATHON. This will be an experience we will never forgetting sharing together!

I guess knowing that somebody depends on me being out their with them every week. I don't like running, but I like our group too much to quit. Prior to our group; I'd never run more than 7 miles. I'm increasing my miles more and more. My wife signed me up for the marathon. So, I'll be pretty proud once I get that over with! I will TRAIN for the Akron marathon...that's a committment I'm making to myself.

I was pretty proud when I finished the Akron 1/2 Marathon. I was really proud watching my wife finish the full marathon.

I'm proud of our group. We have fun together and run together...you can't get better than that.

  3. I'm so proud of everyone of you. I remember the first time I came out to pass out water you were barely able to do the 3 miles. Look how far you've come since then! Training isn't easy but you will be glad you ran those hills and were successful in doing it.

On to Cleveland and then the Akron Marathon.
I was so proud and excited last year to see Hope and Wes run in the Akron Marathon. When I saw them cross the finish line tears welled up in my eyes.
I can't wait to see everyone of you do the same.
I'll need a big box of Kleenex on that day.

  4. I'll buy you a big box of Kleenex. You know I'm not a crier, but I'm pretty certain I'll tear up on marathon day. When Mike, Melissa, Tara, Brian, Jared, Wes, and Jim cross that line....it will be amazing and emotional!!!
