What made you decide to train for a marathon?

  1. I was turning thirty. I had a rough two years and I needed something to spice up my life. I was in good shape physically, but wanted to challenge myself. I had three rules. First, I wanted something that scared me. Secondly, I had to pick something I didn't think I could do or do well. Lastly, I had to pick something I'd NEVER thought of doing before or thought was totally stupid! Yep, marathon popped in my head. I signed myself up for a marathon, got a book on running, bought some shoes, and hit the pavement.

The rest is history. I ran alone and now I run with my fellow Trotters! Woo hoo!

  2. My wife decided to run a marathon. I thought she was nuts, but she ended up being naturally good at running. I thought this was something we could do together. I ended up getting hurt and was only able to run the 1/2 marathon. So, I felt like I had unfinished business. I'm finishing what I started. Oh, my wife already paid for my entry fee. So, I don't really have a choice. Crazy lady! :)

  3. when we started this running group, i thought ok get in to shape loose weight, fellowship with people i wanted to know...with that said i learned that i can run and i liked it. also having Hope lead us in more ways than one , gave me the confidence to know that i can do this!! i know it is not going to be easy but i know i can finish 26.2 miles! i have ran miles i NEVER imagined i could have ran. I am a person who wont give up or give in , when i start something will not stop till i do it, so basically i challenged myself to do this and prove it can to myself! i am so exited to do this and to have a group of people with me along the way who wnat to do the same as me and who care about me and i care for them. so here i come Cleveland !!!

  4. That's my girl! I'm so proud of you and I'm glad you're proud of yourself.

Watch out Cleveland, Taradise is coming to town!

Our running group has been such a blessing to me. Your friendship means so much. Our group gives me something to look forward to after a long week at work. I guess the Lord knew we all needed eachother. Funny, we started this group to run together. Now, we're part of this group because we trust eachother and enjoy our time together.

You know, I never doubted for one second that you'd finish the marathon. I knew you were the type of person that made a decision, stuck to it, and didn't give up until you reached your goal. I can't wait to see you cross that finish line. Man, Little Italy better get ready for Team Trinity. Cause, we are going to get our eat on! :)
