Try a Smile!

You've quickly learned distance running is more about mind power and less about physical capabilities. We are continuing to increase our miles. So, we need to keep our bodies healthy and our minds even stronger!

I tried the "smiling" technique when I was training for the marathon. I know this sounds hokey, but it truly works. I don't know if it's endorphins, a mind game, or just a load of poo.

Try it!

When you are running and feel dead tired. Start SMILING. It makes you forget you're struggling. It makes you think you're having fun. I SMILE all the time when I'm running. Now, I'm not always enjoying myself. However, you'd never know it.


So, give it a whirl this Saturday. I expect to see SMILES!!!!
